More about Jai
Hi! I’m Jai, a Year 12 student at Westminster, and I cannot wait to co-chair the Human Rights Committee. I first fell in love with MUN four years ago when I tried it out on a whim; since then, it has allowed me, miraculously, both to learn more about important global issues and to make close friendships with incredible people. I have since had the privilege of participating in school-wide conferences like those at Alleyn’s and St Mary’s Ascot; no matter the location, MUN has always retained its novelty to me as a safe haven within which simultaneously to explore a wealth of geopolitical perspectives empathetically, and to allow myself to sound as pretentious as the first half of this sentence to a room of unassuming people. After all, plotting to nuke other countries and submitting amendments outlining a modern-day Squid Game is no simple feat... I encourage you all to take advantage of the vast opportunities WESMUN will provide to take risks, to challenge and be challenged, and to explore intellectual and social territory beyond your comfort zone. Looking forward to a great conference!
