Hi, I’m Rayan, and I will be co-chairing the Disarmament and International Security Council. I have been involved with MUN for over four years, attending numerous conferences, from the Security Council to SPECPOL. My journey in MUN began with an interest in geopolitics and the belief that international relations are relevant to every sector in this globalized world, from supply chains to the environment. MUN is a great way to understand the intricacies of global issues around you and develop the skills to present compelling, well-structured arguments that maintain international peace. In DISEC, we will be tackling the most pressing issues, including the Red Sea crisis and the current situation in Syria. I look forward to chairing a challenging and vigorous debate and hope that every delegate leaves more confident in their public speaking and diplomatic skills.
