In today’s African Caribbean Society, led by Morola, members of the school community shared their families’ inspirational accounts of the diaspora. Pupils told their parents’ stories of fighting for freedom from colonialism in their countries of origin, and of racism, discrimination and underrepresentation in the UK.

Morola also brought with her Nigerian jollof rice, which was very well received by everyone, to commemorate Nigerian Independence Day.
