Westminster School is a busy and vibrant place to work. There is a real sense of community here as, being a boarding school, many members of staff and pupils live on site and the School’s premises are very much treated as a home away from home. Support staff, as much as teaching staff, are encouraged to embrace the School’s day-to-day activities, whether that be attending an evening concert or a morning service in the Abbey.
Westminster School and Westminster Under School share a 10-acre playing field at Vincent Square, the largest square in Central London, which allows for pupils to engage in sport close by. The playing field comprises cricket and football pitches, along with tennis courts with both tarmac and artificial grass surfaces. In addition, there is an activity area with apparatus which are used by the pupils who attend the Under School. The Grounds Team currently consists of two Groundspeople who work with the supervision of the Head Groundsperson.
